This Blog Doesn't Help Our SEO
This blog is an experiment.
More exactly, its purpose is to serve the few readers who stumble upon it by chance. It’s hidden almost intentionally, that way I feel better that it only enjoys the haphazard attention of those people and not many more.
I find myself thinking, "why be bothered?"
Well, I suppose it’s an exercise in discipline. I’m not a writer, so there’s not much to lose. What I mean is- I don’t have to worry about some limp-wristed publisher emailing me about a PR gaf or how ignorant I may sound at times. This blog is here so that I can explore strange territory without a map, so if you’re feeling lost- that’s a feature, not a bug.
This blog is not academic. The writing style found here is somewhere between animated prose and just plain conversation. Citations will be provided in order to avoid any trouble, but that’s about it. The subject matter will be challenging at times, from the unusual to the unintuitive- the point is to examine these topics as someone who isn’t an expert in any single one of them. I think the opinions of experts are often overrated and ripe for abuse. Likewise, the spirit of this blog borrows its purpose from an idea expressed by the Great Thomas Hardy, that “if a way to the better there be, it exacts a full look at the worst.”
As you may have already guessed, the views and opinions expressed in this blog are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of any other agency including Nimbus Media, LLC.
